TEKNOPRIMER 2949-11 is a water borne industrial primer for the treatment of wooden balcony parts. TEKNOPRIMER 2949-11 can be applied by flow coat or dipping (manual or automated). TEKNOPRIMER 2949-11 will typically be applied on softwood or hardwood, which for non-durable hardwood and softwood has been pre-treated with a wood preservative.
TEKNOPRIMER 2949-11 minimizes patchiness in subsequent translucent surface treatments. TEKNOPRIMER 2949-11 is available as colourless or translucent factory tinted shades, or can be supplied as bases for on-site tinting. TEKNOPRIMER 2949-11 is a highly protective, robust and easy to use softwood and hardwood primer, which typically is used for wooden balcony parts.
Surface preparation
The wood must be free from wood dust and contamination. The moisture content of the wood should be approx. 13% and should not exceed 15%.
All softwood and non-durable hardwood for exterior use must either be vacuum impregnated (only softwood) or treated with a wood preservative.
Application
Stir thoroughly before use.
Due to evaporation, the solid content of the liquid must be adjusted with water regularly. Adjust the product with water to a viscosity of approx. 12-14 s DIN cup 4 before use.
Application conditions
Apply at temperatures between 15°C and 40°C, and humidity levels below 80% RH.
Storage
Do not transport or store at temperatures below +5°C. Shelf life in unopened containers: See “Best before date” on the label. Store in a cool place and in tightly closed containers.
