ROCKFLOOR 6500-15

Solvent-based 2C PU sealing coating for anhydrite and cement floors for interior use

  • 2-component
  • Solvent-borne
  • Sealer

ROCKFLOOR 6500-15 is a solvent-based 2C PU sealing coating with excellent resistance and is exceptionally fast-drying for high quality, transparent sealing of anhydrite and cement floors. The product is resistant to light and yellowing.

Surface preparation

Every substrate must be well-cleaned, dry and free from grease and oil. Coating removal: Sand

Application

Stir or shake the product well for several minutes before use, if necessary by machine.

Application conditions

Recommended temperature for surroundings and product: +15°C-25°C. Do not apply below +10°C. Ideal surface and object temperature for application: +18°C-22°C. Avoid application in direct sunlight. Underfloor heating systems must be adjusted well in advance.

Maintenance

Initial and maintenance care: After at least 3 weeks curing time with RENSA FLOOR POLISH 4580. For more information on wood floor surface treatments and their use, visit www.parkett-verband.ch.

Storage

Storage temperature is +5°C - +30°C.

Intended only for anhydrite or cement floors. First coat: Apply thickly with a 10 mm Polytex roller (especially important for the first coat on anhydrite). If the substrate is very absorbent, additional rolling may be necessary. The use of spiked shoes is recommended. Second and third coat: Use 4-10 mm roller, depending on the type of floor. Do not use dull matt as first coat on darker floors. As anhydrite or cement floors have different properties in terms of material composition, a preliminary test must always be carried out. (Determination of the required material quantity, etc.) The surfaces to be coated must comply with the structural engineering standards, they must be load-bearing, solid, non-slip and be free from intermediate layers (sintered skins, etc.) that interfere with bonding. The residual moisture (max. 0.5% without underfloor heating, max. 0.3% with underfloor heating, or according to applicable standards) must be measured and recorded. Turn off underfloor heating 30 hours before sealing. Ensure sufficient ventilation during application and drying. Floor coatings are generally dry after 24 hours and can be walked on. However, full load-bearing capacity (curing) is only guaranteed after 14-21 days (according to SIA 2535.7.4). Do not lay any carpets or other floor coverings or carry out any surface treatment beforehand. Sealing requires sound technical knowledge, especially when working with lightly tinted material.
