Teknos suspends operations in Russia
At Teknos, we are shocked and heartbroken about the war in Ukraine. Our minds and hearts are with all the people affected by the war, either directly or indirectly. Teknos is a Finnish family-owned company, but we operate globally, also in Ukraine and Russia.
Our top priority is the safety and wellbeing of all our employees and their families in Ukraine and do our outmost to help them. As a company, we condemn the Russian war and stand fully behind all the sanctions imposed. As part of our actions of solidarity with Ukraine, we suspend our operations in Russia. Due to the hostilities, we were forced also to suspended all our activities in Ukraine. We continue to follow the situation carefully and are ready to react and act in any ways possible to keep our people safe and to support actions for peace and help for those in need.”, says Paula Salastie, CEO & Owner, Teknos Group Oy.
Current consequences to our business
We suspend deliveries and all our operations in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine until further notice, what will have direct and indirect impact on local customers as well as on Teknos globally.
“This war will for sure have some impact on global supply chain. These crisis and uncertain situations have a tendency for further global spikes on at least oil, gas and other energy prices that will for sure at some point have some impact on our raw materials. Currently we do not see any immediate shortages and delivery issues as a result of the escalated situation. This situation is of course subject for change if the crisis will be prolonged”, says Fredrik Calenius, Chief Procurement Officer, Teknos Group Oy.
