The Teknos Trainee Program targeted at university and polytechnic student was a great success this year. Over 600 students around the world showed their interest towards Teknos, which is ten times more than the first year. From the applicants six future talents were chosen and they all joined Teknos in May.
The paid traineeship lasts for 4–6 months during which the students have the opportunity to work with various interesting tasks and projects in different functions including e.g. finance, R&D, HR and marketing. The Trainee Program aims to give a good understanding of Teknos global business and to serve as a catalyst for the trainees’ future careers.
“The Teknos Trainee Program is now running successfully on its second year and the expectations towards it are getting higher and higher. The recruiting campaign itself created us significant boost in social media appearance and organic follower growth, hence influencing our employer brand positively. We expect new and fresh insights and views and positive drive to the organization from all of the six trainees chosen to the program. Hopefully opportunities arise to have these talents to continue within the Teknos family after the trainee period”, says Arttu Lindroos, Group HR Manager.
Annika Jokinen, one of the trainees, says that the traineeship has started more than well.
“We’ve received warm welcome from everyone since the day one. Right from the beginning we’ve been considered as a part of the Teknos family, and I was given responsibility and assigned with interesting work assignments straightaway, which is what I was hoping for! The support and help, especially from my supervisor and all other trainees, has been precious. It’s nice to share similar experiences with the other trainees and learn about other functions in Teknos through their experience".
The Teknos Trainees will write articles about their experience on the Teknos website. The trainee path as well as the general feeling of the Teknos working culture can also be followed in social media with the hashtag #teknosfamily in through Teknos Instagram and LinkedIn accounts.
