In new construction doors, windows and fixed furniture are mainly already industrially coated, ready for installing. These painted surfaces also need to be maintenance painted at some point and for onsite painting we offer highly durable paints and lacquers for indoor and outdoor use.

Traditionally, window frames are made of wood. The surfaces should be protected from weather by paint or varnish: The weather stress is most powerful on the south-facing walls of buildings, where window frames endure the effects of water, as well as the ultraviolet radiation and heat of the sun. With regular maintenance painting, wooden windows can have a very long life.

The most common structure for modern industrially manufactured windows is a combination of wood and aluminium. The exterior frame is most commonly
powder-coated aluminium, so the paint surface does not have a tendency to detach, nor does it require maintenance painting as often as a traditional wooden window. The interior frames of windows are mostly manufactured from knotless, finger-jointed pine.
Paint protects the surfaces of windows and doors from the weather, while reducing the impact of humidity fluctuations. A carefully and correctly painted surface is easy to keep clean, and it retains its colour and keeps the appearance looking tidy.

Typical damage to windows and doors outdoors is the deterioration of the paint surface and the decay caused by water. Regular maintenance helps to maintain the appearance and protection of the paint film. HELO^® AQUA - Extra durable waterborne universal varnish

HELO AQUA is a waterborne, low-emission special varnish. It is particularly easy to use and is highly durable. In addition to easy applicability, the varnish dries quickly. An overcoat can be added in as soon as one hour, allowing several layers to be applied in one day.
HELO AQUA series includes three gloss levels: semi-matt, semi-gloss and gloss. All gloss levels are suitable for treating wooden surfaces both indoors and outdoors. Indoors HELO AQUA varnishes are suitable for all wooden surfaces, such as wooden floors and stairs, doors, kitchen units, furniture. For outdoor use, varnishing doors and window frames, we highly recommend even slightly tinted HELO AQUA as it is the pigment that protects wood from detoriation caused by UV-radiation.
