Water-borne insecticide concentrate, round timber spray

- Water-borne
- Wood preservative

Technical data sheet
Surface preparation
Every substrate must be well-cleaned, dry and free from grease and oil.
Application
Stir or shake the product well for several minutes before use, if necessary by machine.
Application conditions
Recommended temperature for surroundings and product: +15°C-25°C. Do not apply below +10°C.
Storage
Storage temperature is +5°C - +30°C. Store in a tightly closed container.
Treatment timing:
In spring in dry weather and before the onset of the first warm days (approximately from mid-March). Subsequent spray treatment should be considered at the end of May to prevent infestation with the ship timber beetle or in summer during the second flying period of the striped ambrosia beetle to ensure effective protection until the end of autumn.
Application method
FORESTER is an insecticide concentrate which must be mixed with water before application. Half fill the container with water. Add the required amount of FORESTER. Then add more water until the required quantity is reached. Immediately apply the spray solution while the agitator is running.
Applied quantity:
Insect protection: 2.5 l of spray solution per m³ of unstacked round timber. The actual amount applied must be checked for each batch. The required effect is not achieved if the dosage is too low.
Application:
Apply FORESTER to the wood by means of a motorised sprayer (approx. 25 bar pressure) or by means of a backpack sprayer. Spray the entire surface of the round timber thoroughly, including the ends of the round timber stack and the undersides of the wood.
Important:
Spray right into the spaces between the pieces of timber from the front and back of the wood pile. Do not spray on frozen wood and in rainy weather! An application permit from the cantonal forest service is required before applying the solution in the forest.
FORESTER is toxic to fish and bees. For this reason never spray the product near any lakes, watercourses or rivers. For the same reason it is not permitted to treat round timber stored on grazing fields and meadows. Pay attention to the wind direction and follow the special guidelines from the BLW (Federal Office for Agriculture). Observe a 20 metre untreated buffer zone from surface waters to protect aquatic organisms. This distance can be reduced by applying drift reducing measures as specified in the FOA guidelines.
Use biocidal products safely! Always read the label and product information before use.
Important:
Liability of consumers: Consumers bear the risk for damage caused by circumstances beyond the manufacturer's control. The manufacturer does not accept any liability for damage resulting from improper storage or use of the product.
