When it comes to painting a room, good preparation beforehand is key. Masking tape is an invaluable tool as it can be used for lots of different tasks; creating guidelines on the wall, protecting plug sockets and light switches as well as skirting boards, dado rails and carpet edges.

The great thing about masking tape is it tends to be of low tack quality so it doesn’t stick too hard to surfaces but it comes off easily when it needs to.

The result; nice, clean edges and NO wobbly lines or paint where it shouldn’t be - as if it was done by a pro!
