Surface preparation

Every substrate must be well-cleaned, dry and free from grease and oil. Coating removal: Sand, strip

Application

Stir or shake the product well for several minutes before use, if necessary by machine.

Application conditions

Recommended temperature for surroundings and product: +15°C-25°C. Do not apply below +10°C. Ideal relative humidity 50-60%. Moisture-resistant wood based materials must be used for rooms with a high moisture exposure (e.g. kitchens, bathrooms etc.).

Storage

Storage temperature is +5°C - +30°C. Store in a tightly closed container.

Application methods

On MDF boards with a density of below 700 kg/m³ the surface must be pre-isolated with ALPOLAN UNIVERSALGRUND 2420-00. Strengthen the edges or milled grooves with ALPOLAN UNIVERSALGRUND 2420-00. This product should not be used on horizontal surfaces in these areas. Always filter the high-gloss coating through a 50 µm sieve before filling the spray gun. We recommend using a spray gun with a nozzle size of up to 1.4 mm. A uniform surface can be achieved by applying in cross layers. The gloss level of the surface is affected by the techniques used: Layer thickness, spraying technique and drying conditions. We recommend carrying out a spray test with the product before starting work. Important information: The recommendations in the data sheets "7 days – 7 steps" (VTM 4275) and "10 tips for high-gloss coating" (VTM 4120) must always be observed.
