Here's how to test the paint colour with a mini sample can
A test painting with a mini sample can show you how the colour will look in the space and light you're designing it for.
1. Choose the colours you like
First, find the colours you like in our Colour your story -colour collection. The printed colour charts and painted colour samples are available from our dealers or you can order them directly from us.
2. Test the colours
To get a completely authentic impression of the shade, test the colour on a sufficiently large area. A mini sample can is enough for an area of about 1 m2 painted in one go. We recommend painting the test surface twice so that the colour matches the actual result as closely as possible. A paint roller of 25-35 mm will fit into the mini paint can.
Tip! It's easiest to paint the colour model on a separate sheet of paper or cardboard, for example, so you can move the model around or take it from room to room. In this case, there is no need to paint over the wall either.
3. Test the colour in different lights
Test the colour at different times of the day in different parts of the room to see how the colour looks in different lights. Also, check out our tips on what to look for when choosing a paint colour.
4. Choose a paint that matches your favourite colour
Once you've found just the right colour, choose the paint to suit the surface to make the finish as durable as possible. For example, for wall paint, we recommend our BIORA interior paints, which have the Swan label and Allergy label in addition to the Key Flag. For furniture, doors and window frames, our FUTURA AQUA furniture paints provide a beautiful and durable finish.
